Social Networking-Think before you click

Social Networking-Think before you click
One of the biggest things to hit the Internet within the last few years was phenomenal growth of social networking sites like myyearbook.com,myspace.com, friendster, facebook, yahoo 360 and other websites similar to these.
Those websites have various features, to help members maintain contacts with old friends, meet new people, or just share interest with like-minded people. For example, registered users can upload their personal profiles, photos, videos, and journals(blogs), chats or send instant messages, participates in user forums all in one site. Not surprisingly, the majority of users of social networking websites are young people who treat these websites as virtual hangouts that connect them to their friends. But, as with anything else having to do with the internet, there are sometimes risks to online social networking, while we would all like to think of the internet as an educational, business, and social resources that the facts have to be faced. There are dishonest and hazardous people who spend their time always online looking for people to victimize. Sexual assault of minors is a sad and disgusting reality in these dangerous times. There are just no sugar coating it.....So think before you click.
