Wisconsin's unemployment rate dropped in April
that mean ,state's seasonally adjusted jobless rate in April was 8.5 percent, down 0.3 percentage points from March. That compares with a national seasonally adjusted rate of 9.9 percent.
Department of Workforce Development Secretary Roberta Gassman said the evidence signaled the state's continued economic recovery. Wisconsin experienced job gains across most sectors, including 3,300 jobs in the manufacturing sector.
