Denise Borino Quinn

The actress who played the wife of mob boss Johnny Sack (Vincent Coratolo) on The Sopranos died of cancer earlier this week, according to an announcement of a funeral home in New Jersey announced today.
Denise Borino-Quinn, 46, who played Ginny Sacrimoni in the HBO series, succumbed after a long battle with liver cancer, according to AP. The husband died in March.
Borino was not a professional actress (she worked in a law firm), but instead went to an open casting for the series in 2000. This is how she described it in an interview with sopranosuessitings.com:

Actually I had no intention of going to the open audition and that was only because it was advertised all over the newspapers and radio and I knew it was going to be totally nuts, but my best friend (since elementary school)…actually talked me into going and to this day, I’m so glad she did!
